12. Any Scene Featuring Eddie Redmayne - Jupiter Ascending
The Moment: Eddie Redmayne plays Balem Abrasax, the movie's villain, and spends the entirety of the film either whispering extremely quietly (because he's super-old, right?), or screeching like he just graduated from the Gary Oldman School of Overacting. See it for yourself here, specifically the hilarious "I create life!!!" scene. Why It's Stupid: On one hand, Redmayne's performance is easily the most entertaining thing in the movie, but it's also a ridiculously tone-deaf turn that only makes the already credibility-straining plot seem that much more ridiculous. It's amazing that directors as well-versed in blockbuster filmmaking as the Wachowskis didn't hear Redmayne's voice and correct him on-set: instead they let him make a fool out of himself and the movie. It goes without saying that he'll be in heavy Razzie contention in a few months, which could certainly harm his Oscar chances for The Danish Girl.
Stay at home dad who spends as much time teaching his kids the merits of Martin Scorsese as possible (against the missus' wishes).
