15 Terrible Looking 2015 Movies That Will Shockingly Make A Profit

14. Insidious: Chapter 3

Why It Looks Terrible: Because the second Insidious movie already felt painfully unnecessary, and the fact that this one is a prequel starring series psychic Elise Rainier (horror legend Lin Shaye) tells you pretty much everything you need to know. Plus, Saw creator Leigh Whannell is making his directorial debut which could go either way, and from the trailers released to date, it doesn't look to be doing anything particularly daring or original. Expect predictable jump scares and unintentionally hilarious theatricality throughout. How It Will Make A Profit: Because these movies are produced for chump change, and low-budget horror films have a solid track record at the box office. To put it into perspective, the previous film made $161.9 million against a $5 million budget despite poor reviews. Even if this movie's budget is as "high" as $10 million, there's no way it doesn't make it back many, many times over on the basis of its name alone.
