15 Terrible Mistakes That Almost Ruined James Bond For Everyone
8. Old Bond (A View To A Kill)
A View to a Kill was Roger Moore's seventh and final outing as James Bond, bringing to a close a 12-year tenure which really should have ended much sooner. By the time View began filming, Moore was 57 years old, and the most common criticism of the film is that the actor just isn't convincingly energetic in the action scenes, while the love scenes with significantly younger actresses (namely the icky tryst with Grace Jones) looked totally ridiculous. Moore himself even admitted in retrospect that he was "only about four hundred years too old for the part", and further admitted that he didn't like the film. If nothing else, it's a testament to Moore's popularity in the role that the movie still grossed over $150 million worldwide, though View also set a precedent that meant future Bonds would almost always be put out to pasture long before they got over the hill.
