15 Terrible Scenes In Awesome Comic Book Movies

13. DJ Batz - Batman Returns

Before Tim Burton sold his soul to Hollywood, the 'quirky' director was responsible for creating two of the first successful superhero movies, reminding audiences that Batman isn't just a camp crime fighter in tights. Michael Keaton's first outing as the caped crusader had an immeasurable impact on pop culture, but Batman Returns is arguably the better film, with a more gothic aesthetic and a career-defining turn from Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman. However, Batman Returns features one particular scene that can stand toe to toe with the worst that Joel Schumacher's sequels had to offer. While Penguin delivers an important public speech, Bruce Wayne hacks the PA system, playing a recording to discredit his bid to become mayor. So far, so good, but why... why on earth did Bruce have to scratch the CD like a demented DJ!? Unfortunately, it turned out that DJ Batz's uncredited appearance was a portent of what was to come later in Batman Forever and Batman & Robin. Perhaps in an attempt to one up what had gone before, Schumacher decided to slap Batman's logo on literally everything that the Dynamic Duo would use, including Bat-Skates and even a Bat-Credit-Card. If this legacy continues, expect to see Bat-Dentures in Affleck's upcoming ventures...
