6. Forever Being Suspicious Of Racoons... And Cats... And Foxes

Many of the Ghibli movies put one solid idea into their fans minds, you can€™t trust animals. According to many Japanese legends, certain animals have an assortment of different powers that we mere mortals cannot comprehend, and this is showcased in many of the Studio€™s films from Pom Poko to The Cat Returns. There are too many legends to mention surrounding raccoon's, i.e The Tanuki, in Japanese folklore and foxes are also highly respected as intelligent and mystical animals, who have the powers to shape shift and possess human beings, referred to on a whole as Kitsune in English. Also, some legends state that if a cat reaches a certain age it can change shape and size, perhaps explaining the cat bus! The moral of the story is simply to not trust any animals ever, and if you think your goldfish is giving you a filthy look, flush it immediately because it definitely is!
