4. Tim Robbins' Payment Was A Wig
There are cameos galore in Anchorman, with the likes of Jack Black popping up to hoof Ron’s dog, Baxter, off a bridge, as well as Danny Trejo appearing as a bartender in the movie.
That’s not to mention the plethora of familiar faces that appear in the epic battle between the rival news teams. According to Tim Robbins, who played one of the rival newscasters in the film, he knew he wouldn’t get paid much for his cameo but agreed to do it if he could keep the wig, which he did.
Other cameos include producer Judd Apatow, who appears as a Channel 4 News employee and describes Brian Fantana’s cologne as smelling like “a turd covered in burnt hair”.
Also, Adam McKay’s real-life wife and daughter play the young mother and daughter that tell Ron Burgundy that he is “a disappointment to us all”. How sweet.
