15 Worst Horror Films Of The 21st Century (So Far)

6. Sadako 3D

Sadako 3D
Kadokawa Shoten Company
Next year we're getting another American sequel to The Ring, and let's just hope director F. Javier Gutierrez has watched Sadako 3D as an example of what not to do. The original Japanese Ringu was nothing short of a horror masterpiece, and then there was this sequel... The plot is ludicrous, with some tortured artist orchestrating the whole cursed video thing in order to find a new body for Sadako because he wants to get back at the world for not liking him. He does so at first by just kidnapping all girls with long black hair before realizing that probably won't work. They also throw in a boy with telekinesis, and in the last act of the movie, that boy becomes trapped inside an iPhone. Huh? The biggest disappointment is the scares, though. Gone is the creepy tension of the original; this time it's just a bunch of loud noises. Instead of one creepy girl, there's a whole army of them, except now they're these awful looking spider creatures constructed with the lamest CGI you'll ever see. It's got bad acting, an incomprehensible plot, cheap scares, and unnecessary 3D effects to boot; everything you don't want out of a sequel.
