7. Magneto Genocide - X-Men: Apocalypse
Magneto goes through a rough time of it in Apocalypse. After years of trying to hide out among the human race and raise a family, it all comes to a tragic end. So the titular villain recruits Magneto for his world destroying efforts, making extra special use of Mag's ability to tear down cities.
Which he does quite happily – killing untold amounts of innocent people - until he’s eventually convinced by Mystique that genocide is totally lame. He then helps take down Apocalypse, rebuild the destroyed X-Mansion and bids Professor X goodbye, amid warm smiles.
Look, we get that he had a bad time of it, but the man just knowingly wiped out thousands of people, yet neither the film nor the characters hold it against him. Plus they just let him walk away once again, knowing full well he’ll probably try it again in due course.
