As the life fades out of Fury, despite the heroic intervention of his avengers, he is transported to the afterlife. Which is a cartoon built first on the bones of a very clever M.A.S.K. clone and then a more purely anime creation. Why wouldn't it be?

Rather than being met at the gates of heaven by St Peter, Fury is instead thrust into a battle against a new foe, a squadron of talking snaked. And because Fury isn't restricted by the laws of normal men, he attempts to arrest Cobra, the Flash Gordon-sky-bike-riding lead snake God when it informs him that he is in fact dead. That's enough to inspire a note perfect anime explosion of rage.

But just as he moves to land a sweet karate kick, he's pulled out of the cartoon afterlife and back into his mortal body. Because obviously Hackerman has hacked away all of his bullet wounds and he's now fine.
