16 Delayed 2021 Movies That Were Actually Worth Waiting For

6. In The Heights

No Time to Die Daniel Craig
Warner Bros.

In the Heights, the film adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda's stage musical of the same name might've disappointed at the box office, but it's unlikely many of the people who went to see it were left unsatisfied.

Although overlong, this is a very well-executed musical adaptation. It's a delightful showcase for director John M. Chu, a terrific cast (especially rising star Anthony Ramos) and of course, the song-writing genius of Lin-Manuel Miranda, as well as a heartfelt exploration of community and culture.

Much like with Free Guy, it's a shame that we couldn't have got such a heart-warming and joyous film during a year when such a film was so badly needed, but there you go.
