16 Horror Films Worth Getting Excited About In 2016

Jeepers Creepers 3 is kind of refreshing if only for the title alone. When making a new instalment to a franchise after a long break, the natural instinct is to have it be a reboot. A lot of these 2016 movies are direct sequels, but even then, the titles always seem to disguise that fact with some vague name like "The Awakening" or "Rings."

With this one, there's no ambiguity: there may not have been a Jeepers Creepers movie in thirteen freaking years, but the franchise is just coming back with another, numbered instalment as if it never left.

Jeepers Creepers 3 is expected to follow the final day of the Creeper's 23 day feeding frenzy. If you weren't happy with the second movie, as many weren't, this might come closer to the quality of the original, as the director of the first film is back on board.

Also returning is Brandon Smith as Sergeant Tubbs, a character who was absent from the second film and who will team up with a special task force to take down the Creeper.

They seemingly will not be addressing the giant 23 year time skip at the end of Jeepers Creepers 2, but with the original director returning, this could be the Curse of Chucky of the Jeepers Creepers series. That's a very good thing.
