7. Going In Full Throttle - FernGully: The Last Rainforest (1992)

If you€™ve never seen FernGully: The Last Rainforest, it is essentially the storyboard for James Cameron€™s Avatar. A human finds himself immersed in a strange world full of creatures that adore and understand their environment in a way that mankind never could. One of these creatures has personally suffered at the hands of humans, a talking bat named Batty (voiced by the late, great Robin Williams. Think the Genie from Aladdin on speed). Batty is an Australian fruit bat with an antenna surgically grafted to his head which often picks up radio signals €“ one of which comes from a galaxy far, far away. As he begins to pick up random sounds, the unmistakable voice of Luke Skywalker can be heard saying: €œWe're going in and we're going in full throttle!" That ought to keep those rebel fighters off our backs!" This is a sound clip from A New Hope in which Luke urges his fellow pilots Wedge and Biggs to ramp up their assault on the Death Star.
