By the time The Wire ended in 2008, its cast had pretty much all risen to the top of Hollywood's most wanted list. Aidan Gillen, Dominic West, Idris Elba and Michael K Williams all made dramatic impacts with their characters on HBO's beloved show, so it was no surprise that they'd end up being offered a lot more work.

What was slightly more surprising is that Williams turned up in a tiny role in The Incredible Hulk the same year The Wire ended on TV. Despite being THE stand-out on the show, Williams was still game for the cameo, which saw him cast as the glamorous-sounding 'Harlem Bystander', as Hulk and the Abomination battled through the city.

The story goes that Ed Norton was such a big fan of The Wire that he got the cameo written in for Williams.
