18 Crucial Questions For 2015's Most Anticipated Movies
3. Who Dies? - Avengers: Age Of Ultron
Release Date: May 1st Avengers: Age Of Ultron is a Joss Whedon movie, so of course, someone important is going to die. Whedon has such a history of killing off beloved characters that, if nobody significant bites the bullet in the second Avengers movie, it would basically be considered a plot twist in of itself. The rumour mill has been running rampant for months regarding who might be killed off in Avengers 2, and the two most likely candidates are easily Thor (Chris Hemsworth), who can die and simply go to Hel before returning at a later stage, and Captain America (Chris Evans), who has expressed a desire to move on from The Avengers and start a directing career (Evans, not Cap), which given Bucky's (Sebastian Stan) eventual assumption of the Cap identity in the comics, would suit all parties involved just fine. Verdict: Given that Evans is confirmed for Captain America: Civil War, the smart money is really on Thor, as he's the only main character who can die but basically come back in time for his next movie (Thor: Ragnarok) because...magic.
