11. "I Am Iron Man" - Iron Man

The Film

Without Iron Man, there wouldn't be an MCU, and without Jon Favreau's faith in Robert Downey Jr, there might not have been an Iron Man. Thankfully, he was able to convince Marvel that the wayward star was the right man to play Tony Stark and the rest is history.

On his shoulders, Iron Man is a triumph of charm and spectacle, spinning out Stark's evolution from conceited, arrogant weapons dealer to international hero. And it's impossible not to be completely taken in by the journey.

The Moment

After taking down Obadiah Stane, despite having to rely on his old chest arc reactor, Tony Stark holds a press conference having been primed by SHIELD not to mention his new superhero alter-ego. Unfortunately for them, Stark will do what Stark wants to do and takes his opportunity to reinvent himself and cast off his past mistakes by owning up to being Iron Man.

It's not quite I'm Batman, but it says everything you need to know about Tony Stark - about how haunted he is by his past behaviour, about his enthusiasm to be a hero, about his ignorance of rules... It's a perfect little potted moment for him and the best way to end the film.
