20 Absolutely Insufferable Film Characters Who Didn't Deserve THAT

Throughout the James Bond franchise, the Bond Girl has been one of the most important parts of its DNA. A common trend throughout the films is that many of the minor, supporting ones get killed off, usually as a way of showing how ruthless the villains are. That's precisely what happened to Plenty O'Toole (Lana Wood), who features briefly in one of the franchise's biggest duds. 

Now, it's no controversial thing to say that Plenty O'Toole (Lana Wood) ranks among the worst Bond Girls to date. First up, her name is groan-worthy even by the grim standards of Bond Girl names, and furthermore, Lana Wood's performance is gratingly wooden. Having said that, it was hard not to feel bad for her after her death. 

She's discovered drowned in a swimming pool, having apparently been mistaken for female lead Tiffany Case (Jill St. John). It can be assumed she was killed by Wint & Kidd, who are the main henchmen in this particular instalment. In the finished film, it's all a bit unclear, but deleted scenes explain that Plenty went to confront Tiffany as they were rivals for Bond's affections. Basically, she was in the wrong place at the wrong time, so her death was more than a little mean, not to mention unnecessary. We'd already seen Wint & Kint kill numerous other people, so a further demonstration of their ruthlessness wasn't needed.
