20 Action Films From The 1990s You Must Watch

It may not have gotten rave reviews when it first released, but like a few other films on this list, Bad Boys received a cult following thanks to the incredible chemistry between Martin Lawrence and Will Smith as they play best friends and narcotics detectives Marcus Burnett and Mike Lowrey respectfully.

After $100 million worth of seized heroin is stolen from a police vault, Internal Affairs believe that it was an inside job and our two Miami detectives must find out who it was and recover the drugs within the next five days, or the entire department will be shut down. Once again, the plot is not a very solid one, but that didn’t stop the film earning a massive $141 million from a budget of just $19 million.

Sure, there are plenty of clichés that are present in other buddy cop films, but Bad Boys does a great job in keeping you entertained with its endless car chases and explosions. It also helps when Lawrence and Smith were allowed to improvise a few of their lines, making for some truly great banter between the two and some great insults.
