Taxi to the Dark Side is a documentary which investigates the United States of America's policies on torture and interrogation in general, concentrating greatly on the CIA's use of torture and their research into sensory deprivation and, in particular, on the killing of an Afghan taxi driver named Dilawar who was beaten to death by American soldiers while he was being held in extra-judicial detention at the Parwan Detention Facility. The poster depicts a hostage being led away by American soldiers, with the shadows they are casting creatively and poignantly forming the stripes on the United States flag.
