20 Awesome Horror Villains Introduced In TERRIBLE Movies

11. Jeremy Melton - Valentine

Valentine 2001
Warner Bros.

In another, kinder reality, it would've been easy to picture 2001's post-Scream slasher Valentine becoming a sure genre mainstay, with a new entry releasing every Valentine's Day until the box office receipts dried up.

After all, the basic, elemental nature of its villain is pretty sick - a serial killer who dresses up in a creepy-ass Cupid mask and, per their taste for the theatrical, even dispatches one of their victims with a bow and arrow.

This year's Heart Eyes proved the sure potential of a V-Day-themed horror flick, to serve as welcome counter-programming when studios are otherwise unleashing their gooiest releases, but it's tough to deny that Valentine doesn't have much going on outside of its striking antagonist.

This is otherwise a bog-standard slasher with a few diverting kills and... not much else to speak of, ensuring even charitable horror fans mostly didn't show up to watch it.

Had things been a little different, though, Cupid aka Jeremy Melton (David Boreanaz) could've become one of the first genuine horror icons of the 2000s.

As such, Valentine's basically begging to get the reboot treatment.
