20 Awesome Horror Villains Introduced In TERRIBLE Movies
7. Gus Gilbert - Pet Sematary Two
Pet Sematary Two may be a largely inept follow-up to one of the more disappointing Stephen King adaptations, but it sure does have one awesome secret weapon at its core - Gus freakin' Gilbert.
As the cantankerous local sheriff, Gus (Clancy Brown) is a real piece of work alright, being abusive to his stepson Drew (Jason McGuire), enough that audiences were thrilled to see him mauled to death by an undead dog mid-film.
But this is where Gus' villainous arc is just getting started - when Gus is buried in the Indian burial ground, he returns as an even more sadistic, now-undead version of his former self.
This gives the great Clancy Brown the floor to absolutely swing for the rafters with his riotously bonkers performance, without which Pet Sematary Two would surely have been quickly forgotten.
Instead, it's a bad sequel to a mediocre horror movie that just so happens to serve up one of the most fascinatingly twisted screen psychopaths of its era.
