In a Violent Nature is one of the most distinctive and unforgettable horror films of the last few years - a revisionist take on typical slasher fare which instead focuses more on the masked killer, with a "slow cinema" style you'd expect to see in an arthouse drama.

This chalk-and-cheese fusion of well-trod genre tropes with an unconventional style helped In a Violent Nature stand out from basically every other horror film released in 2024, yet as acclaimed as it was, is there much desire to watch it again?

The aggressively, intentionally slow pace, combined with the general obnoxiousness of the victims - again, seemingly intentionally - means the film doesn't really warrant repeat viewings. 

Once you've seen it and appreciated what it's going for, there's not a whole lot else to glean from it. It'll certainly be interesting to see what Nash cooks up for the impending sequel, though.
