20 Awesome Recent Horror Movies You'll Never Watch Again
15. Together
Together is a horror film with a simple-but-irresistible premise, as a co-dependent couple (Alison Brie and Dave Franco) finds themselves drawn together by a supernatural force which wants to quite literally - and grotesquely - fuse them into a single whole.
Brie and Franco are superb as the central couple - elevated by them being an actual real-life couple - while writer-director Michael Shanks mines the icky body horror scenario for every squirm-inducing drop.
But there's a uniquely visceral discomfort to Together, especially in its later scenes, which will make all but the most tin-stomached of horror fans have little desire for a second round.
From its technical craft to its performances Together is a film that gets everything pretty much right, but the sights you'll behold by the end are so unnervingly wrong that you'll probably struggle to persuade yourself to ever go through it again.
The memories of one viewing are plenty, frankly.
