15. The Cost Of Jennifer Lawrence
Many actors fought for the role of Katniss, Saoirse Ronan and Chloe Grace Moretz amongst them, but we all know Jennifer Lawrence came out on top. However, the process was not always smooth-sailing.
Once offered the role, it took Lawrence 3 days to accept the position. Being previously cast mainly in indie films, she thought that accepting it could “completely change her life”. Well, she certainly wasn’t wrong.
For the first movie, Lawrence was paid $500,000. However, for Mockingjay, she was paid $15 million! That’s over 30 times as much as for the Hunger Games itself, and makes $500,000 look almost measly in comparison.
