9. Throwing Shade At Suicide Squad - The Lego Batman Movie

During the opening sequence of The Lego Batman Movie, where The Joker (Zach Galifianakis) launches his latest diabolical plan to take over Gotham, he requires the help of Killer Croc to activate the "unnecessarily over-complicated bomb."

Upon providing a helping a hand, Croc then quips, "Hooray! I did something!", which seems to be nothing if not a barbed rib at Suicide Squad, where the character was given virtually nothing memorable to do (at least nothing not rooted in racial stereotypes).

Some fans have argued the joke is merely a reference to Killer Croc being a third-rate villain, but whether intentional or not, it's an hilarious reference that couldn't have some at a better time.
