2010s Films: Inside Out

Upcoming Films: None announced

One of the essential members of Pixar's Brain Trust, Pete Docter's had a hand in all of their movies and directed three, with his single effort this decade blowing all other recent releases (everything since his previous movie, Up, in fact) out of the water; a genius comedy, heart-breaking family drama, unique adventure movie and deep, grounded look at growing up and the power of memory, Inside Out is Pixar on another level.

It was originally intended that this list would not include any directors who'd only released one film in the 2010s, but I simply had to make an exception for Docter due to the time constraints and required involvement of the medium he's working in; he couldn't have made another film in the time he's had this decade and while animation is a more collaborative medium, at Pixar the director really is the light leading the way.
