Hats off to Sicario, for using the exact same template (I told you it was all the rage), but I had to give it to Macbeth in the end. The colour palette here is mesmerising, with that select burst of flame being used to great effect. The choice of images are beautiful and mysterious. The scruffy edges of Fassbender's bust imply the rough, gritty edges of the story, but the aesthetic elegance of the entire image accurately summates how gorgeous the film really is. This is certainly Shakespeare on celluloid like it's never been done before, and the masterminds behind Macbeth's marketing were right to play up that angle. Which was your favourite poster of 2015?
