20 Best Movie Posters Of 2016

10. De Palma

10 Cloverfield Lane
A24

Offering a unique insight into the mind of director Brian De Palma, Noah Baumbach and Jake Paltrow’s documentary was released to rave reviews and a very impressive 95% Rotten Tomatoes rating. Like the director, the documentary is an acquired taste and it helps if you’re already a De Palma convert, but its poster is impressive regardless.

Evoking the director’s heyday in the 1980s, the poster features artwork by legendary poster artist Steven Chorney, and shows the director in typical voyeur mode overseeing a scene crammed with references to his own movies including Scarface, Carrie, and The Untouchables.
