6. La La Land
Following the success of the Academy Award-winning Whiplash in 2014, director Damien Chazelle looks set to repeat his triumph with his hotly-tipped Oscar contender La La Land, a bittersweet musical about love and Los Angeles.
While much of its poster campaign was more traditional in style,
featuring stars Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling against a dreamy Los Angeles
nightscape, its retro styled piano key poster is an artier addition to its
marketing. Designed by creative agency LA, the poster’s look was inspired by
vintage Blue Note record covers.
