Batman Alum: Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson It's Seth McFarlane in the role of a foul-mouthed talking teddy bear. Again. There's really not much more that needs to be said about Ted 2, a.k.a. The Sequel No One Thought They Wanted. This time, there's some shenanigans about Ted actively trying to have a child with a real human female and becoming property of the government in the process because f*ck it, this is from the creator of Family Guy. Really, it's best just to look at this as another episode of Ted, and try not to get too excited about the possibility of any large chunks of originality. Because then it's just a bunch of quick-cut scenes stuffed to the brim with boner jokes and a teddy bear that drops the f-bomb on the regular. Oh, and there's a scene with a self-serious Liam Neeson as a grocery store customer trying to decipher the intricacies of the Trix Cereal marketing campaign. ("I've been led to understand that Trix are exclusively for children. Is that correct?") Neeson's brief appearance is a random bit of fun, whereas Morgan Freeman's involvement is just flat out ridiculous. Here he plays a much-lauded civil rights attorney who comes to Ted's aid, delivering an earnest monologue at the film's end about the rights of every man, woman, child and...Teddy Ruxpin lookalike. It's weird. And not really in the fun way you might hope.
