20 Coming-Of-Age Movies That Are Totally Flawless

In Call Me By Your Name, 17-year-old Elio (Timothee Chalamet) falls in love with a visiting graduate student, changing their lives forever.

Gorgeously filmed, the drama is a luscious and empathetic portrayal of first love and first heartbreak, and a searing portrait of how much one person has the ability to change our lives forever.

The true standout here, though, has to be an Oscar-nominated Chalamet, who brings Elio and his romantic journey to life with an innocent and deeply personal look at teenage turmoil and identity that simply burns off the screen with intensity.

It's both touching and increasingly soul-destroying stuff, always impossible to tear away from right up until its haunting final scene.
