3. Venom... Sorta

As soon as it was announced Sony would be making a Venom movie, fans started salivating at the idea of a proper Venom vs. Spider-Man film. Considering the previous appearance of Venom wasn't... great, the thought of another attempt was an exciting one.

We got a pretty good Venom movie, then a decent sequel. What truly made the sequel memorable, however, was the post-credits scene, that, in a flash of golden light, apparently brought Eddie Brock and Venom into the MCU, ready to find the now outed Spider-Man.

Did we get Venom in No Way Home? Yes and no.

It appears the same spell that brought the five main villains to the MCU also captured Eddie and Venom, who then proceeded to spend their time drinking in a Mexican bar and learning about Iron Man, Hulk, and Thanos, before the film-ending spell took them back to the Sony-verse.

They did leave a little chunk of black goo behind, however; a baby Venom that will no doubt find its way into a future MCU movie.

The short scene also had a pretty funny riff on Venom's awful nickname 'The Lethal Protector', in a joke that took the piss out of both the Hulk and Venom.
