Another song cut from Pocahontas, Dancing To The Wedding Drum represented a different introduction for Pocahontas, as she muses over her impending marriage to Kocoum. Ultimately story changes meant the song wouldn't have fit, and ultimately the song simply shows how close to Beasty & The Beast's Gastone this earlier version of Kocoum was.
That would have compromised some of the emotional impact of his death, and you can see why the song and that version of the character were ultimately binned.
