20 Greatest Horror Movie Endings Of All Time

12. Friday The 13th (1980)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SjMwKzllfQ The Movie: Sean S. Cunningham had a title and an image (the Friday The 13th logo smashing through a pane of glass) but not much else. With the help of writer Victor Miller, they created a film set over one night as a group of teens setting up a summer camp, and away from any adults, are picked off one by one. The Ending: As horror fans were famously reminded in the beginning of Wes Craven's Scream, the infamous Jason Voorhees is not the killer in the first Friday the 13th movie. For about 80% of the film you€™re left guessing as to who is responsible for these string of murders. It's eventually revealed that Jason's mother, Pamela (Betsy Palmer), was the one causing all the chaos. The disgruntled parent just couldn€™t stand the fact that a few camp counselors were €œmaking love€ while her son drowned as a young lad, so she decided to kill a bunch of teens who had nothing to do with it. Ultimately the film's final girl, Alice (Adrienne King), winds up lopping off Mrs. Voorhees head with a machete in one of the most satisfying villain deaths in the history of film. The final jump scare after that is just icing on the slasher cake.
