11. Gary Oldman - Commissioner Gordon (The Dark Knight Saga)
Gary Oldman was perfectly cast as Batman's unflappable, mustachioed law enforcement ally, practically getting the look and feel of the characters from the comics down to a T.
What the Dark Knight saga did so well was depict the evolution of Gordon's relationship with the Caped Crusader, from initial unease through to a shared goal to save Gotham.
Oldman also did a terrific job depicting Gordon as supremely anguished while maintaining the Harvey Dent lie, but at the same time wasn't above cracking the occasional one-liner either (saying of the Batmobile, "I gotta get me one of those").
Gordon is the real White Knight of Gotham in many ways, and hiring an actor with as much warmth and gravitas as Oldman made this an absolute slam-dunk.
