10. Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2

Though Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 didn't sail past the billion-dollar mark as some expected, it was nevertheless a solid growth on the original, and puts the planned third movie in prime position to finally join the billions club.

While the second Guardians movie perhaps felt a little smug and over-confident at times, especially with its use of music and one-liners, overall it was another highly entertaining sci-fi action comedy, making the most of its electrifying returning cast, not to mention Kurt Russell's terrific presence as Ego the Living Planet.

It doesn't feel quite as fresh as the first film and like so many Marvel movies an interesting narrative takes a decisive backseat to the characters and set-pieces, but overall it's a visually stunning, superbly acted romp.
