14. Despicable Me 3
Box Office: $1,033.5 billion (#4)
The Despicable Me franchise scored its second entry into the billion-dollar club with its breezily enjoyable new sequel, which while beginning to show signs of creative burnout for the series, still brought enough goofy humour to the table to be a worthwhile jaunt.
The gags don't always land and not all the subplots cohere together that well (especially the one involving Gru's twin brother Dru), but Trey Parker is fun as 80s-obsessed baddie Balthazar Bratt, the Minions aren't laid on too thick, and at just 90 minutes in length, it never once starts to outstay its welcome.
It's harmless, silly fun and doesn't try to be anything more.
