20 Horror Films That Will Chill You To The Bone In 2015

9. Krampus

The holidays and horror go together like spaghetti and meatballs, or lamb and tuna fish. They seem totally opposite, but end up fitting just right, as evidenced by such films as Black Christmas, Gremlins and the so-bad-it's-great masterpiece Don€™t Open Till Christmas. Michael Dougherty's next holiday-themed horror movie (he also directed the extremely underrated horror gem Trick 'r Treat) is Krampus, a story based on the German legend of a pagan demon who punishes misbehaving children at Christmastime. In some parts of the world, the 'Krampus' tradition is still celebrated today - some places still honour the pre-Germanic pagan character by dressing up as Krampus, and participating in the Krampusnacht tradition of frightening children in the streets on a nighttime, booze-fuelled holiday romp. What better way to spread holiday cheer in 2015 than by terrifying small children into thinking they€™ll be beaten and dragged to hell for not eating their vegetables?
