20 Most Iconic Gangster Movie Moments

6. 'Say Hello...' - Scarface (1983)

Containing all the classic pitfalls that come with being a gangster, Scarface follows all the rules that came before it, yet comes out as fresh as all of them. A spark from his immigrant beginnings, Tony Montana goes from a nothing stick up guy to mega-rich coke dealer who eventually concedes to the most well-known rule in the drugs trade: Never get high on your own supply. A tale of incest, violence, drugs and over-the-top excess, Scarface epitomises the seedy counter-culture of Miami in the 80's. Iconic Moment: After making it to the very top, Scarface goes out in White Heat style fashion - all guns blazing and without a shred of dignity left. As the Bolivian Cartel surround his house to take him down, Tony watches and prepares from his all seeing office. After asking if they 'wanna' play rough?' and cocking the grenade launcher on his machine gun, Tony bellows what is now one of the most overused and recognised quotes in the film world: "Say hello to my little friend!", before blasting away the few guards that stood at his front door. Like some sort of hulk pumped up on Cocaine, Tony walks out to his balcony taking out as many Cartel as possible along the way. After being shot numerous times, a shotgun blast in the back finally leads him to fall in the fountain in his foyer. The statue in the fountain rather ironically states 'The world is yours' as the shot pulls away and the credits roll.
