7. Sleepless In Seattle/You've Got Mail
No, you haven't wandered into a different article. While I predominately love to watch dark and complex films(read any article I've ever written and this will be very obvious) I also enjoy an evening of lite entertainment from time to time. Sleepless In Seattle and You've Got Mail are two films that are just fluff but very enjoyable fluff at that. For one, both films are written by the brilliant Nora Ephron who was a master of writing romantic comedies that actually have merit and something interesting to say. The two films also feature very enjoyable lead performances from Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan as well. These are two movies that can be enjoyed by both men and women alike because each lead character is very relatable but also very well written.
