4. Green Room
Director: Jeremy Saulnier Starring: Imogen Poots, Anton Yelchin, Patrick Stewart Release Date: TBC 2016 Jeremy Saulnier's Blue Ruin was one of the surprise hits of 2013: a true indie which transcended its modest resources to become one of the most well regarded films of the year. His followup film, Green Room, has received similarly exciting reviews (it played the festival circuit this year), and thus it must be considered one of the most eagerly anticpated films of the year. Starring Patrick Stewart and Imogen Poots, Green Room sees a horrific act of violence go down at a concert, leaving a young Punk rock band trapped in the venue as a consequence. There are hints of Samuel Peckinpah about the film (or so the early reviews suggest), and the general consensus seems to be a film at-least on par with the spectacular Blue Ruin.
