Wesley Snipes was finally released from prison for failing to file federal income tax returns (widely reported as tax evasion) in early 2013, and soon enough set about getting his career back on track. It wasn't long before the actor was announced to be starring in The Expendables 3, playing one of the original Expendables, Doctor Death. Though the movie itself isn't really up to much, Snipes is easily one of the most entertaining elements, evidenced by one brilliant exchange early on in the film when Toll Road (Randy Couture) asks him how he ended up in prison. Doc's simple response? "Tax evasion." It's an outrageous way to poke fun at Snipes' personal troubles while also giving his character an amusingly lame back story (assuming Doc isn't joking, anyway). This tongue-in-cheek appeal is exactly what the Expendables movies should be about: nothing more, nothing less.
