5. Minions Show Up Twice In A Non-Minions Film
While Illumination Entertainment's output has been pretty Minions-focused, it has produced a coupe of other projects, including Dr. Seuss's The Lorax. Despicable Me series co-director Chris Renaud took full control of this one.
When the grandmother in the film gathers the items to tell the story of the once-ler, she reaches into the drawers for a nail. To the left, clearly visible, is a tiny Minion, suggesting that Despicable Me toys are part of this world.
But then again, perhaps Gru was a real person here, because Ted's sneakers appear to be branded as Gru's Shoes, with the logo encircling a small Minion. Are Gru and the Lorax sharing a cinematic universe? The mind boggles.
