20 Most Critically Adored Films Of 2015

9. Paddington

Rotten Tomatoes: 98% From 130 Reviews Very occasionally Hollywood pulls a master stroke with beloved children's properties (as a hint, it's never when Michael Bay is credited in any role whatsoever), and Paddington is definitely one of those times. The enchanting film soars on the back of excellent casting (including the increasingly stuttering Nicole Kidman), a story that doesn't pander to children too much and a gloriously British sensibility that will make natives proud. It's touching, funny and occasionally hauntingly sad, and boasting a perpetually festive spirit that makes it eminently rewatchable. Sample Review:
"This is a charming film whose underlying message of tolerance and acceptance strikes a palpable chord in today's world - both for children and adults." - Mary Houlihan, Chicago Sun-Times
