20 Most Anticipated 2017 Movies

What Is It? Ben Wheatley's fifth film this decade (the guy doesn't take a break), returns him to the 1970s (where High-Rises was sort of set) and tells the story of when a gun deal goes wrong. The cast is scorching: Brie Larson, Sharlto Copley, Armie Hammer, Cillian Murphy, Jack Reynor, Michael Smiley, Sam Riley and Noah Taylor top the bill.

When's It Out? 31st March (UK), Unknown (US)

Why Will It Be Awesome? Wheatley's one of the most interesting filmmakers currently working today, creating tonally-challenging, twisted works that offer up no concessions to those not 100% on board, and he's now getting into the mainstream, attracting major names in increasingly daring films. Not much is known about Free Fire's story beyond the bare basics, but being Wheatley you can really only expect to have your expectations defied.

Any Concerns? Everyone has the Wheatley film they didn't fully connect with, and if you've stuck with him so far, there's every chance this could be that one. Aside from that, there's really nothing to stop you getting excited for this one.
