20 Most Anticipated Horror Films Right Now

8. Friday The 13th Part II (2015)

Friday The 13th Not a huge amount is known about this film apart from the fact it is happening. The initial release date was moved from Friday March 13th 2015 to Friday 13th November 2015 and, at the moment, pre-production is still quite slow moving. This might not be a direct sequel to Marcus Nispel€™s 2009 movie which split fans but also grossed over $40million in its opening weekend. All that€™s known is that the drafts are nearly complete and there are rumours this could be a found footage horror. This both sparks dread in a Friday the 13th fan but, maybe, it could reinvigorate the character of Jason. To that end, Platinum Dunes producer Brad Fuller has stated that he doesn€™t know what point in Jason€™s life we€™re going to see him and the first film€™s Derek Mears might not be returning to the role because of this. Any Friday the 13th film will find an audience but, as proven by the 2009 film, to make big money it needs to break out into the mainstream and, love them or hate them, Platinum Dunes have a track-record of profitable horror remakes under their belts.
