5. Ouija 2

Given that 2014's Ouija wasn't exactly hailed as an instant classic, we can be forgiven for not necessarily expecting much from a follow-up. However, there is ample cause to be optimistic here, as Ouija 2 is the latest film from director Mike Flanagan, one of the smartest and most creative filmmakers working in horror today, as proved by his films Absentia, Oculus and most recently Hush.
Flanagan co-writes with his usual collaborator Jeff Howard, and the cast includes Hush's Katie Siegel, ET's Henry Thomas, famed creature actor Doug Jones, and the original Ouija's Lin Shaye.
