16. Serbian film - New Born Porn (2010)
A Serbian film has become a bit of a viewing phenomenon. Everyone seems to have seen it and they are quick to offer up their opinions on it. Some people are appalled by the savagery and violence. Other people praise it as being a big bold horror statement that will lead to innovations in the genre. I am neutral about A Serbian Film. It doesn't affect me on any level as being good, bad, indifferent. But there is one scene that is destined to end up on this list - and that is the newborn porn scene. Basically our 'hero' Milos is taking part in a very weird independent porn movie overseen by Vukmir. Vukmir sits Milos down in an attempt to describe his artistic vision and shows him a film. There is a woman giving birth on the screen, and after she has finished, Rasa, Vukmir's driver comes along and rapes the baby. This is new-born porn. I don't know what new born porn symbolises or why it was invented. I am very wary of sexualising children on screen - and now thanks to A Serbian Film that includes new born babies - lest some pervert gets some weird ideas. I just think some sicko would have invented new born porn eventually
