20 Most Disappointing Movies of 2025
11. Jurassic World Rebirth
It'd be ridiculous to expect genuine greatness from the Jurassic Park franchise at this point, considering it hasn't produced a single worthy sequel to the original.
But even so, it was tough not to be intrigued when Gareth Edwards (Godzilla, Rogue One, The Creator) was revealed to be directing the seventh instalment in the franchise.
Plus, with Jurassic World Rebirth leaving both the O.G. heroes and the Chris Pratt-era characters behind, it seemed like a fine enough opportunity for a fresh start, led by the appealing trio of Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, and Jonathan Bailey.
But Jurassic World Rebirth was ultimately more of the same warmed-over schlock - a tedious Greatest Hits of the franchise with few fresh ideas of its own and precious little audiences are likely to remember once the end credits roll.
Save, that is, for one of the most inane instances of product placement in cinema history, as the film's catastrophic events are kickstarted by a Snickers wrapper of all things.
Yet because audiences are insatiable for dinosaurs and this franchise is effectively critic-proof, of course it still made mad bank at the box office.
