There was a time when it looked as if Rob Zombie might become the new enfant terrible of American horror movies, not least with the release of his debut film House Of 1000 Corpses, his lurid homage to films like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The Firefly family certainly hold a candle to Leatherface and his kin, killing police officers and backpackers with no compunctions. But the real shock is saved for the final act when our lone female survivor Denise (Erin Daniels) finds herself in the catacombs beneath the Firefly house, complete with a subterranean lunatic asylum covered from floor to ceiling in the bones of the Firefly's victims. Denise stumbles into Dr. Satan's lair as he gets to work experimenting on her friend. Sat in a dentist's chair with his chest opened up to reveal the organs inside, Dr. Satan hovers over him like a bird of prey, prodding at his exposed brain as he coughs up blood with his last breath. What a way to go. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sdIO3lVTWE
