4. Red Sonja

Numerous attempts have been made to get a new Red Sonja movie before cameras over the last decade, with planned Rose McGowan and Amber Heard-starring vehicles both falling apart in the pre-production stages. Just last month, though, producer Avi Lerner confirmed that the recent success of Wonder Woman has made a Red Sonja remake a priority once again.

No word on director, writer, casting or really much of anything yet, but if it can be made without being flagrantly sexist (her traditional attire might need some work) or pandering excessively, there's certainly a compelling screen heroine here just waiting to make her debut.
